Celebrity chef Akira Back, a former professional snowboarder, has achieved his dream and won his first Michelin star for his Seoul restaurant, Dosa by Back. He took up fine dining after reading the Michelin Guides as a child growing up in the US, hoping to become a part of them.

Dosa, a 35-seat restaurant, is located close to his family home and is where Chef Back indulges his boundless creativity to serve innovative cuisine with a Korean essence, including his signature tuna sashimi pizza, Bo-Ssam with Iberico pork, ssamjang and endive kimchi and foie gras pie with oatmeal, gochujang caramel and Korean wildberry jam.

Chef Back has two restaurants in Jakarta, Akira Back Restaurant and AB Steak, a restaurant in Singapore, as well as continuing to run Yellowtail and Kumi in Las Vegas.
