Christmas in Jakarta: A Candyland Christmas at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta

Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta officially welcomed the yuletide season with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony held in the hotel’s lobby. This year’s tree displays candy-inspired holiday décor of life-sized, pastel coloured candies and sweet confections that remind guests of their inner child and youthful Christmas memories. Unforgettable Christmas songs performed by the hotel staff choir, irresistible Christmas snacks and beverages spread the joy and happiness around the lobby. Leading the heart-warming event was Andrew Abram, Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s general manager.

Roast Turkey

Throughout December, the hotel is also celebrating Christmas by inviting guests to enjoy festive dining experiences at Cinnamon and Lyon. At Lyon, the main celebratory highlight is the roast turkey served with honey-glazed chestnuts, brussel sprouts, baby potatoes and homemade cranberry sauce. Also in Lyon’s festive set menus are delectable heirloom tomatoes, steak au poivre and the popular Christmas pudding, available from 1 to 23 December. For Christmas Eve and Day, a superb five-course dinner menu is on offer, plus the Lyon Christmas Brunch on Christmas Day. Meanwhile, an unforgettable all-you-can-eat dining experience can be discovered at Cinnamon, featuring classic holiday dishes from around the world available especially on Christmas Eve.
