Kitchen Take-Over

W Hotels is launching an epic food trail between W Brisbane, W Bali – Seminyak and W Maldives.

For the first time ever, W Brisbane is taking its famed Three Blue Ducks restaurant on a culinary trip to Bali and the Maldives. On these occasions, two of the chefs, Darren Robertson and Mark LaBrooy, will showcase their signature paddock-to-plate ethos on 30 August in W Bali – Seminyak and 6 September in W Maldives.

Born from the idea of providing good ethical food while also living more sustainably, the menu at Three Blue Ducks is inspired by the passion of travelling. Sourcing produce as locally as possible, the restaurant is known to create honest seasonal dishes that are packed with nutrients and full of flavour. After a successful launch in Sydney in 2010, Three Blue Ducks is now a household name in Australia’s culinary world and has three more restaurants, including at W Brisbane.

In W Bali – Seminyak, chef Darren Robertson will take the helm at the hotel’s Starfish Bloo. Preparing everything from scratch, diners are in for a treat with fresh and tropical flavours that highlight locally caught, sustainable seafood, such as lobster, oysters and raw swordfish. For reservations at this dining event, please email bf.wbali@whotels.com or call (+62) 3613000106.

In the Maldives, chef Mark LaBrooy will steal the scene when he takes over W Maldives’ Fire on the Beach for a rustic yet natural beachside barbecue dining experience. Diners will dine under the stars and feast on a menu showcasing local produce, including charred occy, Maldivian chilli lobster and coal cooked green jobfish. For table bookings, please email W Maldives at wmaldives.welcome@whotels.com.
