Raffles Jakarta – a lavish hotel in the heart of Indonesia’s dynamic capital city – launched Raffles Patisserie in February 2019. Dubbed a modern-day jewellery box, Raffles Patisserie showcases sweet gems, comprising timeless and classic pastries, cakes and sweets with an enhanced Indonesian touch.
Nestled on the first level of Lotte Shopping Avenue, adjacent to Raffles Jakarta, the patisserie serves a full range of cakes, éclairs, macarons, pralines and fresh homemade breads. Complementing the line-up are ice creams, chocolates, jams, candies and locally inspired sweet delicacies. The menu features a perfect balance of classic European creations and Indonesian specialities as well.
Signature cakes that shouldn’t be missed include Kokkay, a coconut, coffee and srikaya cake infused with coconut cream and brown sugar custard, and Rampe, a fragrant cake with green pandan leaves and custard. The sweet treats go very well with the patisserie’s Parisian-style seating area, but you can always grab a treat to go.
Helming the sweet haven is Chef Nana Supriatna, bringing his 28 years of culinary experience along to this post. His stints in the past include Emirates Towers in Dubai, the Grosvenor House in Dubai and Shangri-La Hotel Doha in Qatar. At Raffles Patisserie, Nana focuses on his penchant for crafting fusion creations, incorporating Indonesian flavours in all-time favourite European classics.
