Tempting Indonesian Delicacies in India

Chef Made Karyasa of Bejana restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Bali recently presented an exciting culinary experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore for gourmands in the Indian city to explore and indulge in some of Indonesia’s most renowned dishes.

Known for his authentically tasteful creations and respect for Indonesia’s rich diversity of regional dishes, Chef Made offered carefully curated specialities from Bali and Java, along with a selection of famed dishes from other areas.

Diners were able to uncover delectable treasures such as Nasi Bakar Sambal Hijau dan Hasil Laut (green chilli baked rice with seafood), Udang Sere Tabia (stir-fried prawns with spicy chilli-relish coconut cream), Opor Nangka (young jackfruit curry) and Plecing Kacang Panjang (Long beans with spicy red paste). Desserts comprised a celebratory spread of sweetness concocted from coconut cream, palm sugar, rice flour and bananas for a real island vibe.

In addition to showcasing Indonesian food in the restaurant, Chef Made also conducted three different cooking classes with dishes from Bali, Java and other Indonesian islands.
