Opening a little later than most Sunday brunches, the very popular Sunday Remix at W Singapore, Sentosa Cove, swings back its doors at 12.30PM, but for those lucky enough to be ensconced inside, it stays open until 4PM, while from 3PM until 7PM guests are invited to make use of WET, the fabulous W Hotel pool area.

The Sunday Remix takes its culinary cue from the hotel’s signature restaurants, SKIRT – the outlandish in-house grill and steakhouse, and The Kitchen Table, well-renowned for its flair, quality and stylish presentation of a vast array of delicious global favourites served à la carte through the week.

The indoor and outdoor seating is practical and comfortable and fits extremely well into the overall chilled-out dining concept. Both restaurants are quirky, perhaps even whimsical in style, a sort of cross between fantasy and functionality. In The Kitchen Table, there are giant upturned chef’s tables suspended from the roof, mirrored by the buffet tables, which in turn are flanked by the stainless steel live cooking stations.

The chic decor is light and natural and the brightly coloured tumblers, jugs and ornaments dotted about breathe added life; it’s not a design that takes itself too seriously – it is, after all, a place designed for leisurely and relaxed dining.

The choice of food is vast. The buffet is supplemented by live cooking stations offering numerous high quality à la minute dishes. Asian cuisine is heavily represented with Indian, a Singaporean & Malaysian noodle bar, Japanese sushi and a selection of Chinese dim sum; more than enough to tempt even the most discerning diner. The seafood station is particularly impressive. The iced cabinet, set atop a gorgeous laminated wood station, is loaded with prawns, sushi and sashimi, freshly shucked oysters, crabs and mussels.

Close by, discover the meat station with à la minute steaks, chops and other meats, plus a variety of international dishes such as pasta, roast gammons and beef. If the seafood station is a fish lover’s heaven, then the meat station must be a carnivore’s paradise!

If desserts are your thing, then prepare to be impressed by the Sunday Remix selection. Head over to the station and grab a sweet kebab and dive into the chocolate fountain, or take a few cupcakes, there’s a mountain of martini glasses filled with an assortment of fresh, creamy and chocolaty desserts and, for the fruit lovers, a fresh selection of exotic seasonal delights.
