Voted Indonesia’s Best Restaurant, Ubud’s famed eatery is hosting its Truffle Dinner for discerning diners on the Island of the Gods.
Apéritif, Ubud’s Roaring 20s-inspired restaurant, is planning a special dinner to make the most of the fleeting season when fresh truffles are at their best, hosting an evening to remember showcasing imported Fin de Saison black winter truffles on 6 March 2021.
On this special night, Apéritif’s Executive Chef Nic Vanderbeeken will collaborate with Chef Stephane Simond of Folie in Canggu to create an eight-course degustation menu comprising dishes found on both chefs’ restaurants, including chef Nic’s Hokkaido scallop with black winter truffle and chef Stephane’s alba baked egg with black winter truffle and mushroom. For an unforgettable experience, wine pairings are available with bottles carefully selected by Apéritif Restaurant Manager and Head Sommelier, I Made Yudiana.
Recently voted Indonesia’s Best Restaurant at the World Culinary Awards, Apéritif Restaurant and Bar seamlessly juxtaposes inspiration from the Old Spice Islands with distinctive contemporary European flavours. Chef Nic Vanderbeeken brings more than 20 years’ experience working at some of the world’s best restaurants to Ubud’s Valley of the Kings. Meanwhile, chef Stephane’s culinary journey began at the age of 15 at a Michelin-starred restaurant in his hometown, before working at five-star properties around the globe and eventually making Bali his home.
