World Cucumber Day with Hendrick’s Gin

World Cucumber Day with Hendrick’s Gin

Gin aficionados, buy and savour Hendrick’s Gin & Tonic with just cucumber for a single day.

Throughout history, money has been the standard means of payment. But on World Cucumber Day, Hendrick’s Gin introduces a delightful twist: cucumbers as currency. On June 14th, gin lovers can trade their cucumbers for a refreshing Hendrick’s & Tonic at selected Hendrick’s Gin official outlets, where they can also partake in the exclusive Cucumber Concierge and DIY Cocktail Corner experiences.

The well-known beverage brand, which is decorated with the distinctive style of Hendrick’s Gin and provides interactive features such as the DIY Cocktail Corner, will collaborate with 150 stores in Jakarta, Bali, Semarang, Surabaya and Bandung. These outlets range from Vong Kitchen and Nautilus Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta to Karma Kandara Bali and The edge in Bali.

At these places, you can pay with cucumbers for a refreshing Hendrick’s & Tonic during the day during the Cucumber Hour (6pm to 8pm in Jakarta and 4pm to 7pm in Bali). In addition, if customers forget to bring their own cucumbers, these locations will have a Cucumber Concierge on hand to provide them so that everyone can fully enjoy this wonderful day of green fruit.

However, a fascinating discovery has come to light. Scientists from Hendrick’s Gin, in collaboration with cucumber expert Graham Brown from the University of Sydney, Australia, have discovered that cucumbers can grow larger and fresher with unconventional care. They discovered that cucumbers grow best in places with rock music and dill scents, and that they taste even better when wrapped in tiny sleeping bags.
