New Tables Singapore: Tamba

New Tables Singapore: Tamba

Tamba, a new addition to the vibrant Duxton neighbourhood in Singapore, opened its doors this year. This intimate enclave celebrates the vibrant spirit and rich flavours of West Africa, offering a dining experience that transcends traditional boundaries.

The interior, meticulously designed by Virginia Pérez-Orive, reflects two years of research and curation, capturing the essence of West African culture. Every element within Tamba, from the natural clay vessels and artefacts to the carved Tuareg-staff door handles, has been thoughtfully chosen to express the restaurant’s spirit and flair.

Guests can enjoy jollof rice with sofrito, Sakura chicken, smoked pork belly and Tapalapa bread with goat’s milk ricotta and smoked honey. Signature dishes like Suya, grilled Angus tenderloin skewers with kachumbari and smoked kuli kuli promise a sensory feast. Renowned mixologist Joma Rivera oversees the bar, and her creations is inspired by West African culture. With over 60 percent African spirits, enjoy savoury drinks like the Dry Boney or The Next Pele that tell the story of Tamba.
