Tom’s by Tom Aikens at The Langham, Jakarta, is hosting an exclusive and exciting culinary event that brings together two world-class chefs to celebrate British and Indonesian cuisine.

This unique event, in collaboration with the British Embassy in Jakarta, celebrates 75 years of UK-Indonesia diplomatic relations through a fusion of British and Indonesian cuisine. From 19 to 24 November 2024, British Michelin-starred Chef Tom Aikens and renowned Indonesian Chef Petty Elliott will unite their culinary talents in a unique collaboration that blends the best of both cultures.

The collaboration will feature a specially curated gastrodiplomacy menu that combines British and Indonesian culinary traditions. Guests can enjoy lunch, dinner and a grand Sunday Brunch buffet, all showcasing the talents of these two acclaimed chefs. 

Daily specials will include dishes like Tom’s crispy fish & chips with mango sambal and cod fillet with woku sauce for lunch. For dinner, a special five-course menu will be offered, with highlights such as Chef Petty’s mixed vegetable salad and Cod en Croute with kalio sauce, alongside Chef Tom’s Treacle & Whisky marinated salmon and Apple Tart Fine.

The event will conclude on 24 November 2024, with a spectacular Sunday Brunch buffet. This extensive spread will feature live stations and a wide array of dishes, bringing together the best of British and Indonesian cuisine in a vibrant celebration of food and culture. Guests will not only experience an extraordinary fusion of flavours. Still, they will also be part of a meaningful cultural exchange, highlighting the power of food to bridge nations and create lasting connections.
