Martell Welcomes the Year of the Horse at The House of Martell

To mark Chinese New Year 2026, Martell introduces limited-edition cognacs and an open-house pop-up in Singapore that connects heritage, art, and festive rituals through the enduring symbol of the Horse.

Martell marks Chinese New Year 2026 with limited-edition cognacs and an immersive pop-up at ION Orchard in Singapore, celebrating the enduring symbol of the Horse through heritage, art, and festive rituals.

In 2026, Martell’s Year of the Horse celebration embodies reunion and symbolism, presenting limited-edition bottles and a public experience rooted in heritage and artistry at ION Orchard.

The release centres on the Chinese New Year editions of Martell Cordon Bleu and Martell VSOP, both reimagined through artwork by Chinese artist He Datian. Known for his expressive depictions of horses, he infuses his designs with movement and vitality through brushwork rooted in traditional calligraphy. The Horse holds particular relevance for Martell, whose founder, Jean Martell, once travelled across Cognac on horseback, linking the animal to ideas of drive and independence that still shape the house today.

Beyond the bottles, the celebration extends into a week-long open house from 5-12 February 2026 at ION Orchard B4 Indoor Atrium. Inspired by the house-visiting tradition of the Chinese New Year, the pop-up unfolds as a series of curated spaces, including interactive art installations, themed rooms, and gifting experiences. Guests are welcomed with red packets before moving through an art installation inspired by the character Horse, rendered as a sculptural calligraphic form.

As the experience continues, visitors can sample a mandarin sorbet infused with Martell. They can commission personalised couplets from a calligrapher and explore the limited-edition cognac range. A dedicated cellar space highlights L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval, released in strictly limited numbers worldwide.

The visit ends in a communal courtyard offering cocktails, festive bites, and a digital portrait station for personalised New Year greetings. The House of Martell presents Chinese New Year as both a cultural gathering and a contemporary expression, grounded in history but open to new interpretations each season.
