Italian cuisine enthusiasts rejoiced at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta in November, when the luxurious property hosted a week of Italian festivities. Michelin-starred Chef Giuseppe Iannotti was invited all the way from Italy to showcase his outstanding talent and exquisite creations. Giuseppe first opened his one Michelin-starred restaurant in 2007 and named it Kresios, after the god of grape harvests and winemaking Dionysus, inspired by the hectares of vineyards surrounding the restaurant.

From 1st to 5th November, Giuseppe brought his brilliant mind to Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta’s own Italian restaurant Rosso, where he presented curated dishes made from the finest ingredients and served the taste of Italy in contemporary and artsy presentations. He served different set menus for each day and meal period, and diners could enjoy Giuseppe’s finest at Rosso’s lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. On 3rd November, a special wine-paired dinner stole the limelight with dishes like marinated egg with Parmigiano-Reggiano cream and Bianco di Alba truffle, grilled meat with frozen fennel salad, pork dumpling and Bianco di Alba truffle, goose breast and foie gras and more.
