Nestled in the serene Pelawan Forest of Batam, Kayumerah stands as a restaurant with the unique concept of back to nature, offering an exquisite 15-course set menu that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Starting 9 September 2023, the restaurant opens its doors for lunch service from 12pm to 2.30pm, Tuesday through Sunday, inviting diners to embark on a culinary journey like no other. Kayumerah’s unwavering commitment to showcasing the delectable Nusantara cuisines takes centre stage, weaving a narrative that celebrates the rich culinary traditions and influences of Indonesia, ultimately reflecting Batam’s multicultural essence today.

The highlight of this extraordinary culinary expedition is the narrative degustation dinner, a theatrical presentation that guides diners through the evolution of the city’s culinary heritage. Drawing inspiration from the diverse Indonesian cuisines, the experience offers a taste of familiar flavours that resonate with the simplicity of Nusantara cuisine.

Perkedel Kepiting Padang

The Exquisite Lunch menu is a testament to Kayumerah’s dedication to culinary excellence, featuring an array of delightful offerings. Indulge in the Ragam Camilan, with highlights including Roti Sobek, a brioche stuffed with roa floss, Jagung Cikole featuring Cikole corn with roe and pickled Toba shallots, Perkedel Kepiting Padang showcasing Galang mud crab with saos Padang and Gorengan, featuring banana blossoms with rempah Kepri and pickled Toba shallots. 

The Main Course Berbagi includes Rasa Laut with charred Pulau Buaya prawns, Semur Pipi Sapi with beef cheek and potato chips, Ayam Biromaru, Ikan Kuah Kuning Papua, Lawar Bali, Urap Jawa and Nasi Bakar. To round off the meal, indulge in delectable desserts such as Black Glutinous Rice Injen Brule, Moringa Cake, Durian Chantilly and Browned Coconut Streusel.

As a token of appreciation, Kayumerah has thoughtfully crafted special gifts for its esteemed guests. Each diner will receive a jar of their homemade butter roa, a delightful treat that adds an extra layer of flavour to the dining experience.
