Behind Bars at Embers Open-Fire Grill is still in its early days, but the drinks station is already making a significant impression. Situated within Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan, the setup emphasises interaction by removing the traditional divide between bartender and guest.
This concept is reflected in the design itself. The circular island bar creates an inviting and open atmosphere from the very beginning. With no fixed front or back, the layout encourages movement and conversation, allowing guests to lean in, ask questions and watch the drink-making process without feeling out of place.

The bartenders work in full view, appearing focused yet approachable. This openness adds a warm, inviting feel to the atmosphere. Instead of simply placing an order and stepping back, guests become part of the experience, observing the ingredients come together, picking up on the details and hearing stories behind the drinks.
The cocktails themselves reflect the same thoughtful approach as the bar. The Ikigai Spritz combines sakura and local chrysanthemum for a light, floral profile with a clean finish. The Mythical Butterfly Pea blends green tea, butterfly pea flower and mangosteen, resulting in a vibrant, slightly tart mix that is refreshing and enjoyable. The Pi-Tea Blossom is softer, featuring Indonesian botanicals and gentle aromatics that unfold slowly.
