
The spirit of mixology shone brightly in Jakarta as Lucas Bols, the world’s first cocktail brand, brought back the much-anticipated Bols Cocktail Battle in 2025. With the dazzling theme “Bols Disco Fever”, the competition radiated energy, creativity and the vibrant spirit of the disco era, reimagined through the art of cocktail-making.
Held simultaneously in 30 countries, the global competition attracted thousands of entries, with Indonesia contributing 193 inventive submissions. Each cocktail paid homage to the golden age of disco, and after a rigorous selection process, 14 standout bartenders were chosen to represent the nation’s finest talent.
The journey began on 14 April 2025 and culminated in a thrilling finale on 24 June 2025 at BART in ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta. The finalists showcased their original creations before an esteemed panel of judges: Rizky Adityo of Exquisite Media, Faye Louise of PT Putra Surya Internusa, Kiki Moka of Union Group and Matheus Hutauruk, Brand Manager for Lucas Bols in Indonesia. Each cocktail was judged not only for its taste but also for its creativity, presentation and connection to the disco theme.
I Kadek Wahyu Sastrawan of Jumeirah Bali claimed the top prize, earning the coveted opportunity to represent Indonesia at the Cocktail Fever Festival in the Netherlands, a three-day celebration of seminars, training and international networking. Close behind were Nisita Listya from Spiegel Semarang and Kiki Subaharsana from Hutan Kota Plataran, both of whom delivered performances that left lasting impressions.
With roots dating back to 1575, Lucas Bols remains a global pioneer in the world of spirits. Through events like the Bols Cocktail Battle, the brand continues to foster innovation and community, lighting up the international cocktail scene one country at a time.
