Cairo Evenings Come to Life at PA.SO.LA Restaurant

An Egyptian collaboration in the kitchen and a structured hamper series bring a new perspective to Ramadan dining at PA.SO.LA Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place.

There is a certain hush that settles over the city at dusk during Ramadan. Conversations slow, tables fill, and the act of gathering takes on renewed meaning. At The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place, this year’s programme centres on culinary exchange and is considered gifting rather than spectacle.

From 19 February to 18 March 2026, PA.SO.LA Restaurant hosts A Night in Cairo, a collaboration with The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo. Two visiting chefs lead the kitchen: Walid Anwar Diab, Senior Chef de Cuisine with more than three decades of experience, and Mohsen Mohamed Ramadan Ahmed Hassan, whose background spans Egyptian, Lebanese and Syrian traditions. Their presence anchors the menu in technique shaped by geography, not interpretation from afar.

Iftar is served daily from 6-10pm, starting at IDR888,000++ per person. Lantern light, warm spices and dishes rooted in Cairo’s culinary memory frame the evening without excess staging. The focus remains on flavour and familiarity. For Eid, the narrative continues with a brunch on 19-20 March, from 12-3.30pm, offering a shared table to mark the close of the month.

In parallel with the dining programme, the Ramadan Hampers Collection 2026 is presented under the title Tales of Celestial Nights. Structured across five tiers, the selection ranges from Crescent at IDR718,000+ to Solaris at IDR3,888,000+. Each tier builds in scale and content. Artisanal cookies form the foundation, followed by additions such as Dammann tea, Nusantara coffee, and Chocolate Dubai with dates. The highest tier includes an elegant diffuser, a sajadah, a mukena, and Manuka honey.

Furthermore, orders placed before 28 February 2026 receive a 15% early-bird discount. It is a practical detail, yet the broader appeal lies in longevity. The gold-toned structures, detailed with Middle Eastern motifs, are designed to remain in the home long after the sweets are finished.
