The man behind Vong Kitchen and Le Burger is back bringing new flavours to the palate.
Back in 2018, one of the most iconic personas in the culinary world, and a holder of three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges Vongerichten along with his son, a talented chef, awarded in Zagat’s 30 Under 30 list, Cédric Vongerichten expanded their empire and opened Vong Kitchen in Jakarta’s bustling Sudirman Central Business District. Showcasing their skills in balancing flavours and texture whilst blending French, American and Asian cooking that has become known as modern French American cuisine.
After not being able to travel back to Indonesia for a few years due to the pandemic, Chef Cédric is finally making his trip back to Jakarta. Arriving on 22 August, Chef Cédric is bringing a new menu that showcases his speciality in French cooking methods combined with Indonesian local ingredients, presented via an exceptional tasting menu called French Meets Indonesian. The seven-course menu will take diners on a journey through Chef Cédric’s French family roots and his passion for Indonesian herbs & spices.
Indulge in memorable dishes including Norwegian salmon tartare served with warm tartine, kecombrang dressing & mentaiko, black tiger prawn dumplings with beurre blanc, Sturgeon caviar & terasi. Last but not least, blue cheese-aged rib eye steak served with sambal hijau and glazed mushroom. Chef Cédric will be presenting this menu on 25 and 26 August 2022.
