Located on Jalan Sudirman, one of Jakarta’s most vibrant business districts, Blue Terrace at AYANA Midplaza Jakarta has unveiled its latest concept: a French bistro that brings the spirit of Parisian dining to the Indonesian capital. Reimagined with authenticity and warmth, Blue Terrace offers an experience built on heritage, comfort, and honest flavours.
The transformation is led by Chef Olivier Piganiol, Director of Culinary at AYANA Midplaza Jakarta and a native of France. With years of international experience, Chef Olivier has returned to the roots of French cuisine, curating a menu that balances tradition with contemporary taste. His approach focuses on flavour, familiarity and simplicity, making French food accessible while keeping its soul intact.
Among the highlights are well-loved classics, reinterpreted for Jakarta’s diners. The Soupe à l’Oignon Gratinée features a rich beef consommé layered with caramelised onions and finished with melted cheese. The Raviole du Dauphiné, filled with creamy cheese, is served with a nutty pesto and crispy shallots for extra depth. Crayfish gratin with sabayon and herbaceous crayfish emulsion nods to timeless French fine dining, while the roasted black cod with chorizo-parmesan crumbs brings a modern twist to seafood lovers. For dessert, guests can enjoy profiteroles with Ambon vanilla ice cream and Jembrana chocolate sauce or opt for the lighter lemongrass Blanc Manger topped with ripe Harum Manis mango and a hint of kaffir lime.
