The Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and T’ang Court at The Langham, Jakarta, welcomes everyone to celebrate in style with a feast fit for the occasion. Inspired by the wisdom and transformation symbolised by the Year of the Snake, this year’s festive menu promises to bring together luck, prosperity and delicious memories. From 28 January to 12 February 2025, guests can indulge in an 8-course Lunar New Year Feast crafted by Executive Chinese Chef Chong Kooi Sam.
Chef Chong brings his knowledge of Cantonese cuisine to Jakarta, having refined his skills at Hong Kong’s renowned three-Michelin-starred T’ang Court. His special menu combines traditional and modern dishes to create a meaningful and memorable dining experience.
This year’s dishes have been carefully crafted to embody the joyous occasion and foster unity among diners. One of the standout dishes is the Salmon & Abalone Yu Sheng, a bright and colourful dish representing plenty and good fortune. Accompanying it is the traditional “prosperity toss.” The Poon Choi is exceptional as well; it is a multi-layered meal that symbolises prosperity and togetherness with its selection of high-quality ingredients, such as sea cucumber, fresh prawns, scallops, dried Japanese oysters, and roasted duck. The decadent Baked Lobster and Steamed Star Grouper will impress seafood enthusiasts with their exquisite Cantonese tastes.
The 8-course menu is available at IDR1,988,000++ per person. For those who prefer celebrating at home, T’ang Court offers pre-order takeaway options, including signature dishes such as Poon Choi, Roasted Duck, and Salmon Yu Sheng. Pre-orders close on 22 January 2025, with collection available on 28-29 January 2025.
