Makase at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach opens its doors for a sumptuous Nian Ye Fan, Chinese New Year Eve dinner, with a spread of East Asian classics in an Oriental Feast.
One of the hallmarks of Lunar New Year is the tradition of generations gathering around the dining table for Nian Ye Fan, a reunion dinner that celebrates family unity, honours ancestors, and welcomes prosperity as spring comes around. Makase at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach is opening its doors for those who wish to celebrate with glamour, setting the stage for a lavish spread of East Asian favourites with an Oriental Feast on 16 February 2026.
Accompanied by the crashing cymbals and pounding beats of a lion dance performance, this buffet dinner serves a vibrant array of sumptuous Chinese classics. The Heavenly Basket delights dim sum lovers with selections that include Har Gao, Siu Mai, Prawn Dumplings, and Bao Buns. Over at the Ice & Abundance station, indulge in a lineup of fresh shellfish. If that’s not enough, enjoy freshly grilled fish, from red and white snappers to tuna skewers, at the Lucky Catch Live Grill. It’s a worthy pair for the customisable stir-fry bowl from the Nomad’s Flame Mongolian Grill.
At the centrepiece, however, is the Roast of the Dragon, a medley of beloved Chinese dishes that are staples of the holiday. Whether it’s a smoky pork char siu, crispy roasted Peking duck, or a golden Cantonese chicken, it’s the perfect entrée to herald the auspiciousness of the coming Year of the Horse. To end the night on a sweet note, don’t miss out on the sticky, supple chew of Nian Gao (New Year rice cake) and Jian Dui (sesame seed balls), alongside Hong Kong-style mango pancakes and other decadent desserts.
