Introducing an exclusive collection composed of just 136 sets globally, The Singleton Gourmand offers a unique tasting experience that elevates whisky to a sophisticated level. Developed over four decades and inspired by the world’s finest desserts, this trilogy of single malts presents a new standard of luxury for collectors and whisky enthusiasts.
In a celebration of time, artistry and the pleasures of indulgence, The Singleton unveils The Singleton Gourmand Collection, an ultra-rare assemblage of three 42-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whiskies that sets a new benchmark for luxury. With only 136 sets available worldwide, and fewer than 20 reserved for Asia, this release exemplifies the patience and mastery that define the best spirits. For both collectors and connoisseurs, The Singleton Gourmand is more than just a whisky; it is an opulent moment.
Each expression in this extraordinary collection has been carefully matured for over four decades, culminating in The Singleton’s longest-ever secondary maturation, a process that unlocks remarkable depth and complexity. At the helm of this ambitious creation, Master of Malts Dr Craig Wilson employed an innovative cask layering technique, capturing the essence of the world’s most decadent desserts. The result is a trio of whiskies that invite the palate into a realm of pure indulgence.
The first expression, Notes of Fig & Chocolate Ganache, offers a rich experience with layers of dark chocolate, earthy fig, and hints of clove and vanilla wood. Its deep umber colour, accented by crimson glints, reveals a nose rich in toasted nuts and espresso, leading to a palate that begins sweetly and evolves into a spicy finish with lasting dark chocolate notes.
Next is Notes of Caramelised Crème Brûlée, where the smoothness of vanilla custard complements the bittersweet crunch of caramel. A bouquet of coconut and clotted cream invites the senses, transitioning into flavours of molasses and toffee. The whisky is creamy and complex, shifting from delicately 110 sweet to a lightly peppered dryness that mimics its namesake dessert.
The third expression, Notes of Black Cherry Gâteau, showcases a balance of flavours. Its rosewood hue presents aromas of chocolate sponge and homemade black cherry jam. On the palate, the whisky offers bright notes of ripe black cherries, dark plums and berries, enhanced by cinnamon and black pepper. Each sip delivers a refined combination of tart and sweet, culminating in a subtle chocolate finish.

To elevate the experience, The Singleton has partnered with Master Pâtissier Nicolas Rouzaud of The Connaught, London. Rouzaud has crafted three bespoke cakes that harmonise with the whiskies, each dessert a meticulous homage to the character of its companion spirit. Whether it’s the silky mousse and fig-laden sponge of the Fig & Chocolate Ganache cake, the layered flan and caramel cream that reinterprets crème brûlée, or the Black Forest-inspired gateau crowned with Griottines cherries, each creation invites an unparalleled exploration of flavour and texture.
The Singleton Gourmand Collection is a celebration of age and craftsmanship, representing a rare blend of cask mastery and culinary artistry. This limited release showcases a whisky of notable complexity, destined to be a valued addition to the world of ultra-aged single malts.
