On its first anniversary, Canella Italian Restaurant held two kind of intimate celebrations, presenting the best of Italian cuisine, reaffirming its position as one of Tangerang and Jakarta’s emerging culinary destinations.
Canella Italian Restaurant at Hotel Tentrem Jakarta celebrates its first anniversary with a series of exclusive dining experiences that highlight its extraordinary Italian cuisine. Over the past year, the restaurant has built a reputation for refined dining that combines precision and creativity.
To mark this milestone, Executive Chef Ivan Leonard of Canella Italian Restaurant joins forces with guest chef Mario from the acclaimed Carne Restaurant to present a special programme of Italian-inspired events. Together, they showcased a range of menu that captures the balance between tradition and innovation, reflecting the shared philosophy of both chefs.
The celebration began with La Dolce Vita, an Italian Sunday Brunch held on 26 October 2025. Guests were served a spread of classic Italian favourites reinterpreted with modern flair, from fresh antipasti and handmade pastas to hearty roasts and delicate desserts. The brunch is designed to evoke the warmth and conviviality of Italian dining.
The festivities continued with La Notte Viva on 31 October 2025, an anniversary dinner experience featured a bespoke “endless culinary plate”. The evening presented a multi-course tasting journey that combines the distinct styles of Chef Ivan and Chef Mario, serving menu such as Spendini di Manzo Alla Sicilliana, Short Rib Ragu Lasagna and Amaretto Dissarono Tiramissu. Each dish celebrating Italy’s regional diversity while reflecting contemporary techniques and presentation.
With this collaboration, Canella Italian Restaurant reaffirms its position as one of Jakarta’s emerging culinary destinations. The anniversary series not only honours a successful first year but also sets the tone for what lies ahead.
