The Westin Jakarta has launched a reimagined Nikkei menu at Henshin, offering a fresh perspective on the celebrated Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine. Nikkei, which originated from the Japanese community in Peru, is defined by a harmonious blend of Peruvian ingredients and Japanese culinary techniques.
The new menu at Henshin invites diners to explore this unique fusion through four- to eight-course tasting sets. Each journey begins with Piqueos, an assortment of small bites, followed by Tartar de Atun, featuring yellowfin tuna tartare with ikura, quail egg, rocoto and truffle oil. The Signature Nigiri Trio showcases carefully curated seafood, while the carpassion ceviche stands out with its combination of salmon, avocado and passion fruit marinated in Leche de Tigre. For the main course, guests can enjoy Australian black Angus tenderloin, and desserts such as Carro de Chocolate and Suspiro de Maracuya round off the meal.
The à la carte menu further extends the offering with signature Nikkei creations. Diners can savour Nikkei wagyu beef tartare, Henshin rolls filled with salmon belly, foie gras and Amarillo chilli, or choose from seafood options like Vieira Ceviche featuring Hokkaido scallop and octopus and Langosta with smoked rocoto butter. Another highlight is the Nikkei ramen, made with wagyu striploin MB9, bone marrow, omega-3 egg and golden curry broth. Optional wine and sake pairings are available to enhance the dining experience.
