ENMARU is a Japanese restaurant in Jakarta that focuses on its traditional cooking methods. Located within the Altitude complex, the restaurant presents washoku through a sequence of courses that follow balance and seasonality. For the festive season, ENMARU introduces a special set menu titled Washoku Delight, created to offer a complete Japanese dining experience in a single sitting.
The menu begins with Zensai, featuring an aburi wagyu salad dressed with sesame and ponzu sauce and finished with fried leek. This is followed by the Mushi course, where foie gras chawanmushi is served as a steamed egg custard with sweet sauce. The sashimi course presents a moriawase selection, with two types chosen by the chef based on availability and freshness.
Next, the fish course highlights salmon tartare gratin, accompanied by marinated half-boiled egg and vegetables. The main course, Flaming Steak, gives guests a choice between A4 Sasa Kalbi or an A5 Sirloin upgrade, both prepared with controlled heat to bring out their natural flavour. The meal continues with the rice course, Hon Maguro Toro Rare Steak Gohan, combining bluefin tuna belly, sweet shoyu, and kizami wasabi.
Aosa miso soup is served after the rice course, providing a light transition before dessert. The menu concludes with Kanmi in the form of pudding à la mode, served with assorted fruits, brown sugar sauce, and vanilla ice cream.
