Adding to the experience, Thorn-Clarke’s charismatic Chief Winemaker, Peter Kelly, will guide guests through the night’s pairings. With a passion for both education and winemaking, Peter’s expertise spans decades, having honed his craft at some of South Australia’s most iconic wineries. Since joining Thorn-Clarke in 2016, he has been at the helm of creating wines that balance tradition with innovation, and this event will showcase both the classic and contemporary expressions of their Barossa and Eden Valley vineyards.

The evening begins with a sparkling introduction: enjoy appetisers paired with Thorn-Clarke’s light, effervescent Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay, followed by the crisp brightness of their Sandpiper Riesling, inspired by the elegant migratory bird that calls their vineyards home each year.

From there, the culinary journey intensifies, with sumptuous dishes like Duck 2 Way and perfectly seared wagyu tenderloin. These rich, flavourful mains will be elevated by the deep, robust wines in Thorn-Clarke’s collection, including their crown jewel – the Ron Thorn Shiraz. This single-vineyard Shiraz, made only in exceptional years, is a tribute to the family’s deep roots and is a true reflection of Barossa’s celebrated winemaking tradition.
