The holiday season gets a touch of SIKI’s signature fusion of Japanese and Balinese culinary influences as the restaurant unveils its special Christmas menu.
Christmas at SIKI may not come with snow or mistletoe, but rather be infused with the restaurant’s own twist: a Japanese Christmas Wonderland where glittering lights from the Hanagasa Garden play with unique flavours for a warm and inviting dinner. Showcasing their penchant for blending modern Japanese dining and the soul of Balinese traditions, SIKI introduces two ways to enjoy the holiday festivities with à la carte specials throughout December as well as a seven-course dinner on Christmas Eve and Day.
Until 31 December 2025, diners can enjoy a spread of seasonal dishes with a palate that nods to the familiar winter flavours of Christmas while still rooted in Japanese and Balinese sensibilities. The Seared Hokkaido Scallops demonstrates this best, featuring golden brown discs of scallops doused in salted beef jam and topped with crispy bacon and garlic chips. Another highlight is the Smoked Teriyaki Duck Breast, where the tender meat and crisped skin meet an earthy beetroot roulade and marinated cherry tomato shiso gel for a hearty, vibrant medley.
For sweet tooths, the Christmas Globe hides layers of pandan castella, fizzy grape, Nestum bar, strawberry marmalade, and marshmallow under a golden sphere. These dishes, alongside others like a handpicked selection of sushi, comprise the seven-course set menu, available exclusively on 24-25 December.
To make the season’s dinners livelier, three arak-based cocktails inspired by familiar Christmas treats await. Balinese arak is infused with apples and cinnamon for Spiced Apple Pie, while Mad Mulled Wine trades the traditional red wine for arak infused with orange, cinnamon, and star anise. Meanwhile, Santa’s Truffle Tipple evokes eggnog with a concoction of pandan- and ginger-infused arak mixed with housemade advocaat liqueur and black truffle oil.
Younger guests also get a special treat with a build-your-own gingerbread man kit, promising the tasty art of decorating these iconic Christmas cookies. “This is the season that brings people together, celebrating harmony and connection, and that’s what we’re all about,” expressed Executive Chef and Chef/Owner Vincent Hiew. “We want our guests to feel the warmth and joy of Christmas through SIKI’s unique flavours, ambience, and meaningful shared moments.”
