In November, one of the most prestigious shopping centres and lifestyle hubs in Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, hosted the much-awaited Flavours of the World event all through the month. The main purpose of the event was to introduce no less than 50 new F&B creations from 33 outlets in Plaza Indonesia, but in between there were a variety of interesting programmes and activities for food enthusiasts, including culinary packages with special prices, a cooking master class, a special menu by five celebrity chefs and food styling and photo contest. Plaza Indonesia’s general manager for marketing and communications, Zamri Mamat, explained that Flavours of the World aimed to develop the potential of food and beverages by introducing the rich variety of cuisine available at Plaza Indonesia.
Famed and respected chefs like Arimbi Nimpuno, Yvonne Yuen, Duongporn Achanai, Adrian Aryo Bismo and Michelle Santoso also participated in the event by creating a special menu that was only available at Lamoda Plaza Indonesia throughout November.
Another crowd favourite was the cooking master class featuring numerous chefs and F&B outlets, such as Sari Ratu’s Chef Fauzan, Lamoda’s Chef Candra Sudirgo, AW Kitchen’s Chef Nakamura and more. Eager foodies could also participate in the festivities by joining the food styling and photo competition, complete with a mini workshop titled The Art of Preparing Food for the Camera with some of the experts in the field.
