For one night on 21st April, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta will be holding an exclusive evening of delightful Chinese delicacies paired with Champagne at JIA, the hotel’s newly opened Chinese restaurant. A menu of classic Chinese fare prepared by JIA’s acclaimed Chinese Chef Christopher Chai will feature duck as a key ingredient. Diners will be treated to a curated selection of Champagne pairings from Nicolas Feuillatte.
For starters, an appetiser of crisp roasted duck with fruit salad will be served, with a side of crispy roasted duck spring roll in spicy sauce. The delightfully refreshing dish will be accompanied with NV Nicolas Feuillate Reserve Brut, and matched delightfully with a braised four treasure soup with roasted shredded duck.
JIA’s signature Peking Duck – crispy duck skin served in Chinese pancakes will be served as the main course, paired with NV Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rose. The following main course is stir-fried duck meat, on a bed of fresh lettuce. Next, guests will enjoy braised E-Fu noodles and wild mushroom with shredded roasted duck and black truffle paste, matched with Nicolas Feuillatte Cuvee Palmes d’Or Brut Millesime.
For desserts, guests will be served the decadent Praline Bavarois and Passion fruit Coulis, paired with Canella of Bourbon Vanilla Ice Cream. A glass of Feuillatte Palmes d’Or Millesime Rose will close the wondrous evening of epicurean delights. The best part of it all is that any intrigued foodie can still book for this experience even after the initial event has passed.
