La Moda offers exciting dining in the middle of a prestigious shopping mall in Jakarta. After a stylish makeover, La Moda re-opened in February 2015 under the management of Keraton at The Plaza, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Jakarta. This open-space restaurant features the main dining area, an elegant lounge, a private room for 12 people, bar area, pizza counter and takeaway coffee/desserts counter, showcasing a European theme with a garden ambiance that is inspired by currently fashionable colours that will be updated every season. The whole interior concept is designed by Mark Ormsby Interiors from Singapore.
La Moda is located on the ground floor of Plaza Indonesia’s atrium, open daily from 10AM to 10PM, it is able to accommodate 158. It is a great place to relax after shopping. Get the chance for one free item after one purchase during Happy Hour from 4PM to 7PM for selected cocktails, wines and beers. For every six cups of Illy coffee purchased, you are entitled to one coffee or smoothie at no additional cost. The menu presents International cuisine with a modern twist and a mix of Western and Asian creations. A thin pizza is an ideal starter. Eight slices of black truffle with fontina cheese offers amazing flavours. Another appetizer to try is Rendang Tacos with avocado, pickled radishes and crispy shallots. The balanced taste of the beef mixes perfectly with the tacos and avocado. Sandwiches, salads and soups are on the appetizer list also. As for the main course, there’s a wide variety of dishes. Grilled Tuna Fillet, tender and juicy, is one of their signatures. The avocado mousse, spinach, mango salsa and arugula mesclun make for a perfect presentation. Beef would be a good choice from the grill, try the imported stockyard striploin gingered shiitakes with soy caramel emulsion and dauphinoise potato. Breakfast items are also available for the whole day.
For those in the mood for Indonesian cuisine, La Moda provides Indonesian home-style cooking, such as iga bakar, nasi goreng, sop konro, lontong cap gomeh, sop buntut, soto and laksa. La Moda caters to every guest’s taste buds. Mexican Chef Jaime F. Rojas Lopez is the man behind all the creations and has been appointed as La Moda’s Executive Chef.
Never miss the desserts. La Moda’s dessert corner includes chocolate fondant, lemon meringue tart, tiramisu, cheesecake, sorbet and pannacotta – along with Indonesian favourites such as es cendol and fried bananas. A new highlight is their carrot cake with ginger carrot sauce, pistachio rocks and coconut ice cream. La Moda also offers you a wide variety of wines, champagnes, liqueurs, mocktails and more.
