For those who had chosen to dine at TOM’S by Tom Aikens, the buffet was a feast in every sense. The live carving station drew a small crowd as chefs expertly sliced tender cuts of lamb, while the satay station filled the air with the unmistakable scent of grilled skewers. Meanwhile, at ALICE, the evening took on a different rhythm. The semi-buffet format allowed guests to savour each dish at their own pace. Guests can choose from shawarma carved fresh, tabbouleh bright with fresh herbs, or a selection of Middle Eastern desserts that make it impossible to pick just one. Conversations lingered, plates were passed around, and the atmosphere felt like an intimate gathering rather than a restaurant setting.
At T’ang Court, guests enjoyed a different celebration. The three-course Cantonese set menu was a refined yet comforting way to mark the occasion. On the other hand, the spirit of family-style dining took centre stage at Morimoto. Platters of maki rolls, beef negimiyaki, and seafood gyoza encouraged diners to share, reaching across the table for one more bite.
Near the entrance, the Ramadan hamper was neatly arranged with its gold accents and embossed patterns standing out. The sturdy cylindrical box in soft sage and dusty pink held a selection of treats, from buttery cookies to chocolate-covered Medjool dates.
