A New Bloom in Bali

A New Bloom in Bali

Skilled itamae (chef in Japanese) at work

One of London’s darlings of upscale Japanese cuisine, Sake no Hana, is coming to Bali. Set to be the culinary heartbeat of Omnia, a day club that we just can’t wait to see, it will be the eye in the storm of atmospheric fun in this sure-to-be buzzing venue.

Noted for its meticulous attention to detail and focus on the perfection of its ingredients, with everything plucked, picked, harvested and served just at the right time, Sake no Hana is the epitome of the Japanese philosophy “shun”. This is much more than mere seasonality; it is that exact moment when fruit is at its sweetest, fish at its most succulent and the cherry blossoms at their most beautiful.

Sushi and sashimi selections

Executive Chef Hideki Hiwatashi, who helms Sake no Hana in London, is currently in Bali ensuring that the shun philosophy is second nature to the tropical island’s team, sourcing the best and finest ingredients and demonstrating the delicacy and skill required to prepare and present the sublimely simple dishes.

With the focus being on the whole experience, from the food preparation, to the serving, the detail and the ambience, Bali’s Sake no Hana will have that devotion to perfection without the stuffiness of formality. This pared down presentation and a truly Japanese focus on ingredients promises something entirely different for Bali’s gourmands; one that has us eagerly anticipating opening day.
