Grand Hyatt Bali’s novel dining destination Pasar Senggol updated its roster of stalls, blending Indonesian dishes and cultural performances with handcrafted trinkets.
Situated at the heart of Grand Hyatt Bali, Pasar Senggol continues to treat guests with its signature dinner setup, a stroll through the night market. With its recent update, the open-air amphitheater venue now incorporates small businesses into its roster of vibrant stalls, showcasing the masterful craftsmanship of local artisans as part of their heritage preservation initiative.
Every Tuesday and Friday, the beachfront resort’s private garden transformed into a lively, torch-lit fête of Indonesian food, art and culture. Guests can enjoy the balmy ocean breeze while savouring a spread of local delicacies. Among the favourites are the spice-forward and unctuous beef rendang and a selection of smoky satays that range from chicken and lamb to fish and tempe.
For a more dynamic experience, the interactive kitchens showcase the live carvings of different meats, including the Balinese classic roast suckling pig. End the night with a sweet treat, whether it’s a refreshing bowl of es daluman or an assortment of succulent tropical fruits.
Some nights arrive with the indulgent Tumpeng Night, where a lavish buffet awaits, a peek into the traditional Indonesian celebratory meal. Delight in an affair of the nation’s quintessential flavours, all served with the aromatic rice cone, tumpeng, as its centerpiece.
To complement the culinary journey, a lineup of performances spanning Panyembrahma, Fire Dance, Joged Bumbung, Kecak Ramayana and Cendrawasih dance will enchant diners, further immersing patrons into the intertwining cultural threads presented at Pasar Senggol.
