Following the rising interest in more intimate (and even hidden) drinking places, The Golden Tooth entered the South Jakarta bar game. With a limited capacity of only 45 seats, and providing excellent concoctions, this signless 3rd floor venue will surely become one of the city’s favourites.
Its location cannot be more strategic, right between the lively Blok M and the hyped-up streets of Gunawarman-Senopati – just a short stroll from either neighbourhood. Nestled above a happening restaurant, patrons are welcomed by an old-fashioned office door with a glass upper half hand-painted with the bar’s name. Inside, it is more modern. The New York City-loft inspiration is evident from the rugged mix of concrete, exposed beams, and a massive skylight.
As for the mains, The Golden Tooth offers a meticulously curated menu that twists your favourite classics. If you want more, there’s always the bespoke unwritten tipples available by request – or by a familiar nod to the barman.
