Celebrate two decades of compassion and care as COMO Uma Ubud collaborates with Yayasan Senyum Bali for an unforgettable evening of heartfelt giving, delectable Indonesian cuisine and inspiring community spirit, where every ticket helps transform a child’s life one smile at a time.
COMO Uma Ubud is proud to host A Night of Giving Smiles, a heartfelt charity evening in collaboration with Yayasan Senyum Bali on Friday, 8 August 2025. The event will take place from 4pm to 8pm at Kemiri Restaurant, the resort’s tranquil open-air dining venue surrounded by tropical greenery and flowing water features, offering an elegant setting for an evening of compassion and community spirit.
This special dinner marks the 20th anniversary of Yayasan Senyum Bali, a foundation dedicated to providing free surgeries and medical care to children and adults with craniofacial conditions such as cleft lips and palates. Over the past two decades, the foundation has transformed countless lives, and this event aims to raise vital funds to help expand its reach throughout Bali and Eastern Indonesia.
Guests will be treated to a family-style dinner that showcases the rich flavours of Indonesian cuisine. Signature dishes include Ayam Taliwang prepared with turmeric and lemongrass, braised grouper in a spiced curry with marrow squash, urab pakis made with fern tips and red beans, and a warm jackfruit and ginger pudding topped with palm syrup and papaya. The evening will begin with a welcome drink and feature a glass of wine by event partner Hatten Wines.
Beyond the dining experience, the event will include a curated fashion presentation that celebrates local design, along with a raffle and silent auction. All proceeds from the evening will go directly to Yayasan Senyum Bali’s medical and surgical programmes. Each ticket purchased contributes to restoring the health and confidence of children in need through access to life-changing care.
Reflecting on the foundation’s journey, Mary Northmore, Founder of Yayasan Senyum Bali, shared, “When we began in 2005, it was with the dream that no child should have to live in pain or shame because of something that can be treated. After 20 years, we are proud of how far we’ve come—but there is still so much more to do. This dinner is not only a celebration; it is a continuation of hope.”
Gede Suteja, Cluster General Manager of COMO Uma Ubud and COMO Shambhala Estate, added, “We believe in wellness beyond the physical—wellness that uplifts individuals and communities. Hosting this event with Yayasan Senyum Bali reflects our shared values and commitment to making a tangible difference. It’s a privilege to support an organisation whose work changes lives so meaningfully.”
Tickets are priced at IDR1,500,000++ per person, with limited seats available. Guests are encouraged to book early to be part of this meaningful evening in support of a powerful cause.
