A collaboration between Noesaka and Kayu Manis Restaurant brought together nostalgic Indonesian street food and rare regional dishes in Pekan Rasa.
Noesaka and Kayu Manis Restaurant by Hotel Tentrem Jakarta recently collaborated to present Pekan Rasa: Pekan Penuh Rasa, Penuh Cerita, a culinary programme that paid tribute to Indonesia’s rich street food traditions. Held at Noesaka, Land’s End PIK 2, on 13–14 September 2025, the event showcased nostalgic flavours while highlighting the stories behind each dish.
The collaboration was designed to reimagine well-loved street food, offering guests an experience that combined comfort, authenticity and a modern touch. Noesaka featured classics such as Bola Ubi, Pukis, Tahu Gejrot, Mie Godog and Serabi Solo. Kayu Manis Restaurant introduced regional specialities less commonly found in Jakarta, including Asem-Asem Koh Liem Semarang, Bebek Cibeber, Sate Ambal Kebumen and Es Teler Solo 2025. Together, the menus reflected the diversity of flavours that define Indonesian culinary heritage.
Each dish was prepared with attention to detail, honouring traditional recipes while supporting the spirit of UMKM by shining a light on the small businesses and local producers behind these creations. The curation emphasised the value of street food not only as a source of comfort but also as an important cultural expression.
The event also underlined the role of dining as a medium for storytelling. Guests were encouraged to explore the history of each dish, from regional influences to generational recipes. By presenting both familiar and lesser-known flavours, Pekan Rasa celebrated Indonesia’s culinary diversity in a way that was accessible and memorable.
With its intimate setting, limited capacity and the view of the beach, Pekan Rasa turned a street food showcase into a lively and warm seaside festival.
