Gran Meliá Jakarta proudly presents its 2025 Mid-Autumn Signature Mooncake Collection, exclusively available at its renowned Cantonese restaurant, Tien Chao. This year’s selection blends traditional craftsmanship with modern refinement, housed in gold and soft pink packaging that symbolises prosperity, happiness, beauty and affection.
The collection is crafted under the guidance of Executive Chef David Marteau, who spent more than two decades in China, and General Manager Jeronimo Molina, who lived in the country for six years. Together, they ensure each mooncake embodies authentic heritage while embracing a contemporary touch.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, is a cherished occasion representing reunion and prosperity. In response to evolving preferences, this year’s mooncakes are made with reduced sugar without compromising on flavour. The indulgent line-up includes White Lotus with Golden Yolk, offering a refined interpretation of a timeless classic; Pandan Mélange with Melon Seeds, pairing fragrant pandan with delicate crunch; Red Bean Harmony with Melon Seeds, a nostalgic combination loved across generations; Durian Indulgence, a rich and creamy treat for bold palates; Black Sesame with Walnut Praline, delivering nutty and aromatic depth and Jasmine Tea with Chestnut Elegance, marrying floral notes with the sweetness of candied chestnut.
The collection is available in various gift options: the Harmony Four Mooncake Box priced at IDR 888,000 nett, the Prosperity Duo Mooncake Box at IDR 728,000 nett or as individual mooncakes in 8 cm (IDR 268,000 nett) and 6 cm (IDR 168,000 nett) sizes. Pre-orders can be placed at Tien Chao or Elbombon, with quantities limited to ensure optimal freshness.
