A weekend of flavours with Chef Petty Elliott and Chef Raymond Siek at Bejana, merging Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage with contemporary culinary techniques.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bali is set to host Epicurean Indonesia: A Weekend of Flavors, featuring a collaboration between prominent Indonesian culinary ambassador Chef Petty Elliott and the resort’s Director of Culinary, Chef Raymond Siek. The event will take place on Saturday, 23 August, and Sunday, 24 August 2025, from 6.30pm to 10.30pm at Bejana, the resort’s signature Indonesian restaurant. Guests can expect a diverse culinary experience reflective of the rich tapestry of Indonesian cuisine.
The first evening will present a vibrant Nusantara buffet dinner, showcasing the culinary heritage from Sumatra to the Eastern islands of Indonesia. This interactive dining setting will serve regional dishes while providing entertainment that includes traditional rindik music and Balinese dance performances by local community members. The event aims to engage guests through a mix of flavours, sounds and aromas in a welcoming atmosphere with views of the Indian Ocean.
On the second night, a more formal eight-course set dinner will be offered, created by Chef Elliott and Chef Siek. This menu aims to elevate Indonesian cuisine by combining traditional recipes with modern presentation and techniques. Each dish is designed to celebrate the balance of authentic flavours reimagined through contemporary culinary practices.
Additionally, Chef Elliott will hold a book signing for her latest publication, The Indonesian Table, allowing guests to connect with her culinary philosophy and take home a signed copy.
“We are pleased to welcome Chef Petty Elliott to The Ritz-Carlton, Bali for this special collaboration with our Director of Culinary, Chef Raymond Siek,” says Go Kondo, General Manager. “This event highlights the richness of Indonesian ingredients and the creativity seen in modern culinary approaches, making it a notable celebration of culture and flavour.”
Epicurean Indonesia represents a convergence of two culinary talents, blending storytelling, artistry and the authentic tastes of Indonesia.
