Wine lovers will be delighted to know that Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta will be hosting an exclusive wine dinner with the acclaimed Australian winemaker, Vasse Felix on 7th April. The exquisite event will be held at the hotel’s stunning Italian restaurant, Rosso. Guests will be in for a delightful evening filled with artisan delights masterminded by Chef Gianfranco Pirrone, paired with a dazzling wine selection from Vasse Felix from the famed Margaret River region.
An antipasti platter of tomato and mozzarella bruschetta, broccoli flan and roasted prawns skewer will be paired with Filius Chardonnay 2014. A Heytesbury Chardonnay 2011 will complement the beautiful salmon tartar finished with white truffle essence. Porcini mushroom and quail risotto is paired with Cabernet Sauvignon, 2014. Saffron ravioli stuffed with oxtail and cream buffalo cheese will be paired with Heytesbury Malbec 2009. For mains, a tiger prawns and beef cheek dish will be paired with Shiraz 2012 vintage. Rounding off the sumptuous meal, guests will be treated to a tantalising mousse and ice cream champagne.
