InterContinental Singapore is set to host an unforgettable event for rum enthusiasts and connoisseurs: the inaugural Rum & Roll Rendezvous. Co-hosted by The Rum Cartel, this festival celebrates the spirit of Havana with a weekend of extravagant delight, appreciation, and education from 26 to 28 July 2024.
The festivities kick off on Friday, 26 July, from 8pm to 11pm, with an evening of sultry Latin music, fiery dance moves and a tantalising array of free-flowing rum cocktails, wines and light bites. For SGD128++, guests gain access to rum tastings with Bacardi, masterclasses and an unforgettable night of celebration.
Saturday invites guests to embark on a hands-on rum adventure. Starting at 12pm, vendors will present a carefully curated selection of the finest rums at individual booths for tastings. Guests can also purchase their favourite bottles or cocktails on-site. Experienced industry professionals like Rob Scott of Flor de Cana, Symphony Loo of Appleton Rum, and Issyam As’ari of Mount Gay will lead four masterclasses on the appreciation of rum in the Lobby Lounge. These sessions will delve into the intricate process of rum production, from the sugarcane fields to the ageing barrels.
As night falls, the vibrant Tropical Pool Party takes over InterContinental Singapore from 6pm to 10pm. Guests can groove to lively tunes by a live DJ while taking a refreshing dip in the hotel’s inviting pool. For SGD68++, ticket holders will enjoy a welcome drink, access to rum tastings, and a selection of delicious food and drinks available for purchase on-site.
The festivities culminate with a sumptuous Rum & Roll Champagne Brunch Buffet at LUCE from noon on Sunday, 28 July 2024. Brunch-goers can indulge in international flavours with a focus on Italian specialities while enjoying free-flowing rum cocktails, Champagne and wines, all to the upbeat tunes of a live DJ. Diners will also have access to explore the collection of rums available for tastings.
