Manager of Food & Beverage at The Legian, Bali
E: What are your responsibilities?
E: Quite a lot actually, but my main responsibilities are ensuring the F&B operation runs smoothly and adheres to The Legian’s standard – including coordinating the operational side of the kitchen and service front, ensuring the guests’ maximum satisfaction, achieving the professional and financial goals, and on top of that, training and coaching my team.
E: What makes a typical day?
E: Coming to work full of energy, ready to do the job, greeting the guests and looking forward to their nice words about their experience and listening to their feedback.
E: Your best attribute?
E: I take every step I’ve taken in my career as a learning process. It can be difficult and tiring, but more importantly, I love my job.
E: Team player or team leader?
E: I feel grateful to be a team leader, that way I can influence my team and achieve the goal together.
E: Who has been the most influential figure in your career to date?
E: There are a lot! Starting from my family, who have continually supported me from the start, to The Legian’s top-notch general manager, who has been a great mentor. I’ve learned a lot from them. Of course, the greatest support and cooperation comes from my team. They are all the reason I am standing here today.
E: Name one really special thing about your hotel?
E: Great food with fantastic service, romantic setting and unbeatable ocean views. Our restaurant is all about the whole experience.
E: How do you unwind?
E: I love to spend my days off with my little family, going back to my village to visit my parents or simply tidying up my garden and taking the kids fishing.
E: Dead or alive, who would you like to take out to dinner?
E: My lovely wife, no doubt.
