SKAI Bar & Grill unveils its new Mixology Takeover series with an exclusive guest appearance by Indonesia’s award-winning mixologist, Ayip Dzuhri.
For the very first time, SKAI Bar & Grill at Padma Resort Legian proudly presents Mixology Takeover, a captivating new bar series that promises to celebrate the art of cocktail-making through a rotating spotlight on some of the world’s most inspired mixologists. The debut edition, Mixology Takeover Vol. 1, will welcome none other than Indonesia’s esteemed mixologist, Ayip Dzuhri, for an exclusive showcase on 25 and 26 April 2025.
A true trailblazer in Indonesia’s mixology scene, Ayip Dzuhri is known for his bold, gastronomic approach that blends cocktail craft with culinary artistry. From modest beginnings to being named Indonesia’s Bartender of the Year at the 2015 Diageo World Class Semi-Finals and Bangkok Bar Show, his rise has been as exceptional as the drinks he creates. Today, Ayip leads innovation as the Corporate Bar Manager at Tavern Group Semarang, while also serving tas Head Bartender at Wishbone Bar, one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars.
For Mixology Takeover Vol. 1, Ayip will unveil an exclusive selection of five bespoke cocktails, each one inspired by the vibrant, Mediterranean soul of SKAI. Over the course of two evenings, three different cocktails will be served each day, with one signature masterpiece gracing both nights, an inventive showstopper titled A Little Less Conversation.
Paying homage to Elvis Presley’s love for peanut butter and banana sandwiches, this standout cocktail creation is a rich, velvety blend of Johnnie Walker Blonde, peanut butter, banana and blackcurrant, an indulgent nod to rock ‘n’ roll spirit in every sip.
Savour Ayip’s visionary cocktails at IDR175,000+ per glass from 5pm to 11pm on 25 and 26 April 2025, set against the golden glow of Legian’s sunset by the pool at SKAI, accompanied by the soulful live sounds of Philip Lagabelo, a Top 5 finalist from The Voice Indonesia, and stand a chance to win exclusive gift vouchers during the event.
