An intimate new extension brings the fire and flavour of SKAI’s beachfront dining indoors, blending coastal charm with Levantine-inspired grill artistry.
Padma Resort Legian has expanded its beachfront dining destination with the debut of a new indoor extension to SKAI Bar & Grill. Nestled just beyond the original ocean-facing deck, the new 34-seat space offers a refined take on the seaside experience, infused with the same passion for flame-grilled cuisine and a warm Mediterranean spirit.
“Since opening SKAI Bar & Grill, guests have fallen in love with the ocean views and fire-driven dishes,” said General Manager Kristanti Tannady. ”This extension is a natural continuation of that charm, giving guests a new, intimate space just steps from the shore.”
The indoor sanctuary reflects the original’s coastal elegance, framed by lush greenery, floor-to-ceiling windows and soft golden lighting filtered through sculpted laser-cut screens. Earthy tones of driftwood grey and sandy taupe weave through the décor, echoing the beach’s natural palette and offering a garden-like retreat that still feels unmistakably coastal.
Inspired by the Levant, the menu celebrates bold Eastern Mediterranean flavours, succulent cuts seasoned with za’atar, citrus glazes and smoked paprika pastes, all enhanced by the restaurant’s signature fire-kissed finish.
At the heart of this new space lies an open-kitchen pavilion, where guests can witness the artistry of live-fire cooking in motion. From Angus tenderloin to grass-fed MB3+ and Ibérico pork chop, each cut is prepared with precision over glowing embers, now complemented by an in-house dry-ageing chamber displayed on rustic maple boards.
