Originating from Asturias, Spain, Chef David Fernandez Losas joins the Gran Meliá Jakarta’s family, adding his Spanish cuisine specialty to the hotel’s burgeoning culinary talent pool. Chef David is lauded as one of Spain’s brightest young chefs, with vast experience accumulated in acclaimed kitchens across Europe.
His glittering career boasts stints in the famed Iberostar Gran Hotel el Mirador in Tenerife, Llamber and Hungary as well as the Michelin-starred restaurant Real Balneario De Salinas. His latest appointment prior to joining Gran Meliá Jakarta was as executive chef of ME Madrid by Meliá Hotel International, which showcased the multi-talented skillset required in leading a culinary program at the highest level.
