Spectacular Gastronomy at MĀUA Nusa Penida

A culinary to remember at KŌWHAI Restaurant.

Guests were treated to spectacular cookery at KŌWHAI Restaurant on 7 July 2023. Beginning at 7.30pm, a blend of mouthwatering platters and flavourful wines from the Americas was served in combination with the profound playing of a saxophone to produce an elegant atmosphere on the exotic island.

The alluring set of dishes began with an amuse-bouse of beef carpaccio served with horseradish cream and the Chilean wine of Carmen Wave Series Sauvignon Blanc. Guests noted how perfectly the fresh taste of the wine complimented the first dish while taking in the last inklings of the sunset over the Bali horizon.

As evening turned to night at MĀUA Nusa Penida, delectable plates would come and go serving terrific mixtures of flavours that redefine gourmet greatness. Palates were provided with a starter of seared scallop mango, roasted garlic, parsley and lime juice. Not long after, the enchanted visitors had the privilege of sinking their teeth into the main of succulent beef tenderloin accompanied by baby vegetables, baked potato, and green peppercorn sauce. The Argentinian Zuccardi Série Q Malbec made its nightly debut with this dish to perfect the array of savoury bites.

For dessert, sweet flavours of chocolate hazelnut mousse magnified by a luscious raspberry coulis ended the night strong. The Paradise Ranch Merlot Ice Wine from Canada made its appearance to pair with the tasty delight, captivating taste buds with its satisfying finish and assuring guests would visit again soon. Between the extravagant presentation of the dishes to the exquisite collection of flavours in every bite, KŌWHAI Restaurant was successful in making memories for everyone who had the pleasure of choosing from their menu.
