Spring Into Lunar New Year Celebrations at Grand Hyatt Bali

Blaze of Prosperity by Watercourt at Grand Hyatt BaliAt Grand Hyatt Bali, Lunar New Year celebrations don’t revolve around the dinner table; the whole resort becomes a lovely fold that comes to life with the cheery spirit of the spring festival.

Anchored by traditions that foster togetherness, abundance, and auspiciousness, the Lunar New Year is a quintessential moment to spend time with loved ones. While many opt for making pilgrimages home, others might utilise this holiday to unwind with the family. Grand Hyatt Bali welcomes the latter crowd for a tranquil stay ideal for all ages, complete with experiences to make an effortless celebration of the Year of the Fire Horse.

The festivities can be felt even before guests settle into their rooms, welcomed by amenities that draw on Chinese celebratory traditions; the orange is one example, a symbol of prosperity and good fortune with its vibrant sheen and round shape. A dazzling Barongsai (lion dance) performance also greets lobby arrivals with its shimmering cymbals, echoes of barrel drums, and explosive colours, chasing away the bad spirits that might plague the upcoming year.

Throughout the stay, little ones can also find their way to the Kids Club on 17 February 2026 to celebrate Lunar New Year their own way, starting with receiving the very first fortune flower to begin a day of luck. Whether their predilections lie in nature or the arts, there’s something for every child: feeding ducks, eco-print activities, a scavenger hunt, crafting DIY pop-up cards, decorating fortune cookies, and designing lion-dance headbands are among the highlights.

At the heart of this experience is the Blaze of Prosperity dinner at Watercourt. The open-air water palace-inspired restaurant is receiving an Oriental twist on 16-18 February, serving up traditional Chinese fare fit for a delightful meal, a hallmark activity of this holiday. Families can share a meal of auspiciousness with selections that include Yee Sang (Prosperity Toss), Tofu Skin Spring Rolls, Crab and Golden Corn Soup, and roasted duck. For a sweet little treat, the restaurant is sticking to its Indonesian roots with lapis legit, symbolising patience and prosperity.
