Take a Step into Wine Lover Paradise
The fabulous VIN+ Seminyak is extremely proud to present its new menu alongside a host of exciting events and special offers to help you ease into the holiday mood this August. As well as the usual Wine of The Month promotion—a 20% discount on selected wines, there’s wine tasting, live music and extravagant events that together celebrate the marriage of great wine, great service and great fun at this stylish venue.
The menu now includes a new Tapas Platter—check out the sautéed escargot with mushroom, tomato and butter sauce!—a selection of scrumptious and authentic Indonesian classic plates, such as soto ayam or the delicious sop buntut served with carrot, potato, melinjo crackers and rice, or perhaps the famous signature VIN+ Arcadia Jakarta plate, Nasi Goreng Pork Belly washed down with a glass or two of Sauvignon Blanc is more your style?
There are freshly prepared salads from the classic Caesar with Rosemary Chicken to the succulent Sliced Rare Rib Eye with Arugula Salad & Balsamic Dressing. If your taste is more European, check out the gnocchi and pasta dishes, or tuck into tasty risottos that can be perfectly paired with a selection of classic Pio Cesare varietals.
A large selection of poultry, meat and seafood dishes completes an extensive menu.
Over the last few months Chef Djoko Sarwono—10 times Iron Chef Indonesia winner—has been showcasing some of the new additions at a number of tremendous wine dinners where his reputation for creating the highest-quality Indonesian cuisine has been fully justified.
In fact VIN+ Seminyak offers regular special lunches and dinners like those, prepared and hosted by the house or guest chefs; details of upcoming events are always available via their social media. Most recently Chef Hidekazu Tanaka from the prestigious AWKitchen in Jakarta graced the kitchen and served up a stunning dinner to coincide with the opening of the art exhibition in the upstairs mezzanine Art Space. The exhibition, showcasing the work of Teguh Ostenrik, Merzuka Dopazo, M Pramono I.R, Gunawan Bagea and Koempoel Sujanto amongst others, is presented by Kayon Putih Furniture & Art Gallery and runs until 14th August 2015.
VIN+ Seminyak is more than just a classy eatery and its wine list in the retail outlet is extensive and includes a large collection of spirits. Everything can be bought to take away, consumed with your meal or socially, and a good selection can be purchased by the glass at the bar. The bar also serves up some excellent cocktails as well as a selection of soft drinks and non—alcoholic beverages.
The structure is impressive and the architectural centrepiece is the huge bamboo barrel. The concept and theme is, of course, wine and the venue is designed with the expansive bamboo uprights and cross members simulating the planks of a barrel. Inside the barrel the open area is comfortably furnished and dotted with palms and a water feature. As the sun sets, the soft subtle lighting creates a delightful ambience. It is an excellent spot for pre-dinner drinks under the starry night or for a long relaxing lunch with friends.
Walk through the bamboo barrel into the spacious restaurant dominated by several rustic chefs’ tables. It’s a great set up for larger groups and a perfect design for the hosted dinners. To the right is the impressively stocked bar and to the left is the retail outlet with over 250 affordable and premium fine wines all hand selected by VIN+ for value and suitability.
The first VIN+ opened in Kemang, Jakarta, back in 2004, and today proves to be just as popular as ever with the city’s wine and dine enthusiasts. Opening around two years ago VIN+ Seminyak has followed that success and has become something of a must-do venue in Bali and is a welcome and stylish addition to the island’s ever growing wine-centric bars and restaurants.
