For those with refined tastes in coffee, Golden Malabar will be your new favourite spot. This coffee shop has just opened its very first store at Discovery Shopping Mall in Bali, ready to offer a unique coffee-drinking experience for its customers.
Once you step inside, the shop’s luxurious and stylish vibe is alluring, with orange-and-black colours dominating the whole place and the soft sounds of jazz music playing in the background. There are only a few seats available, yet all are perfectly set for you to have a relaxed conversation, either with your friend or with the barista.
The name Golden Malabar originates from the coffee plantation in the Malabar Mountains of Bandung, where the ideal climate allows the coffee plants to flourish. To maintain the balance of the civet population needed to produce 100 percent genuine luwak coffee, Golden Malabar also runs a civet rehabilitation centre within this enormous 3,200,670sqm area.
There are two types of coffee beans available from Golden Malabar: regular Arabica coffee beans and peaberry Arabica coffee beans. Additionally, Golden Malabar sells Arabica luwak coffee, which comes in four varieties: drip coffee, espresso, regular beans, and peaberry beans. A certificate of authenticity is included with every purchase of Arabica luwak coffee.If you are looking for a delicate souvenir, the coffee beans from Golden Malabar can also be used as a luxurious gift, perfect for treating your loved ones to something special.
Golden Malabar’s manual drip wine Arabica peaberry coffee is a must-try when you visit the store. The beans are fermented for several days before they are dried naturally under the sun and roasted with medium heat. The result? It smells sweet and fermented when you first sniff it, and when you drink it, you notice a citrussy and caramel scent that lingers on the palate. It is great to drink in-store or on-the-go.
