At 18 Parc in the SCBD area, Soichiro Irori Style Japanese Steakhouse introduces Jakarta to the art of Irori in a way that feels both authentic and contemporary. Irori, which refers to Japan’s traditional hearth cooking, is a patient and deliberate method where meat is carefully tended over glowing embers, allowing the flavours to develop slowly and naturally.

Executive Chef Soichiro Hieda embraces this philosophy in the kitchen, using time-honoured techniques as the foundation for his unique creations. One standout dish is the Matcha Misuji, where A5 beef is delicately balanced with the clean notes of matcha powder. Another is the black truffle hire, introduced in 2024, which quickly became a favourite due to its rich umami and unmistakable aroma. Both dishes showcase the chef’s ability to blend respect for tradition with a personal touch.

The restaurant also reflects Japan’s deep appreciation for seasonality. Its monthly omakase menu features only ingredients at their peak, ensuring each course is directly connected to nature’s calendar.
