Veraz at The Barcelona EDITION presents an exclusive four-hand menu with Michelin-starred chefs Martina Puigvert and Alejandro Serrano.
On 19 September 2024, Veraz at The Barcelona EDITION will host a gastronomic event that promises to be nothing short of spectacular. This exclusive evening will bring together two of the culinary world’s rising stars, Michelin-starred chefs Martina Puigvert of Les Cols in Olot and Alejandro Serrano of Alejandro Serrano in Miranda de Ebro, for an extraordinary Four-Hand dinner that will captivate the senses.
The event marks the second collaboration between Puigvert and Serrano, following their successful debut at Tivoli in Copenhagen. Known for her poetic simplicity and dedication to Catalan cuisine, Martina Puigvert has already made her mark at Veraz through an ongoing collaboration, introducing six exquisite dishes that reflect her culinary philosophy.
Alejandro Serrano, celebrated for his innovative approach to traditional Spanish flavours, will join her in creating a seven-course menu that showcases the best of both talents.
Set within the vibrant atmosphere of Veraz, where oversized floor-to-ceiling windows and a central bar crafted from aged brass evoke a blend of Barcelona’s local culture and sophisticated city vibes, the evening promises an immersive dining experience. Veraz’s commitment to honest cuisine, featuring seasonal products sourced from the nearby Santa Caterina Market, perfectly complements the culinary artistry of Puigvert and Serrano.
The evening will begin with a glass of Damm Inedit beer, a brew designed specifically to complement fine cuisine. For those seeking to elevate their experience further, a selection of wines from the renowned Álvaro Palacios winery will be available for pairing with each dish. The tasting menu will alternate between Puigvert’s and Serrano’s creations, offering diners a unique opportunity to savour the distinct flavours and techniques that have earned both chefs their Michelin stars.
Highlights of the menu include Puigvert’s Egg with Vegetables, Olive Bouquet, and Cottage Cheese Flower, paired with Serrano’s Carbonara, Turbot with Flowers, Blossom Squid, and the indulgent dessert ‘Love,’ crafted with toffee, rooibos and strawberry. Each course is a celebration of the chefs’ innovative spirits and devotion to locally sourced ingredients, promising an unforgettable dining experience.
Only 40 seats are available for this special dinner, which starts at 8.30pm. Priced at EUR80 per person, with the option of adding a wine pairing for EUR145, the Four-Hand dinner at Veraz is a rare opportunity to witness culinary brilliance in an intimate and sophisticated setting.
