Alila Villas Uluwatu presents a masterful collaboration between celebrity Chef Marinka and Executive Sous Chef Ananta Putra for a refined celebration of Indonesia’s culinary heritage.

Immerse yourself in a celebration of Indonesia’s culinary heritage at Alila Villas Uluwatu, as the resort hosts the second instalment of its illustrious Culinary Diva Series. Designed to showcase the artistry of exceptional female chefs, this exclusive event brings together Alila Villas Uluwatu’s Executive Sous Chef Ananta Putra and celebrated Chef Marinka, for an unforgettable four-hand dining experience on 18 and 19 October 2024 at The Warung restaurant, starting from 6pm.

Chef Marinka, renowned for her flair in both food and fashion, has charmed many as a MasterChef Indonesia judge. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Australia, she has crafted many dishes that reflect her passion for sustainable, innovative cuisine, weaving together Indonesia’s vibrant flavours in Tenun Rasa.

Tenun Rasa expresses the elegant intertwining together of flavours that await at this special event. The masterfully made dishes will feature locally sourced, organic ingredients, embodying eco-conscious artistry and sustainable fine dining.

Prepare to indulge in a sumptuous culinary journey, beginning with refined starters like Gohu Ikan, a luxurious ceviche featuring Indonesian fresh catch of the day shrouded in a spicy sour dressing, and Mie Tempe, artisan soybean cake noodles with soybean chips, an elegant Balinese soy broth and marinated free-range egg chicken.

A refreshing Bedugul strawberry and ginger flower kombucha cleanses the palate before an exquisite selection of mains; including Sapi Bacem, a tender beef dish that is a celebration of Semarang culinary legacy; Bebek Lodho, an impeccable slow-cooked duck roulade offering an opulent taste of Trenggalek cuisine; and Gurita Bakar Pala, an East Nusa Tenggara marinated grilled octopus complemented by smoked nutmeg potato, garlic sambal and Dabu-Dabu salsa.

Two decadent desserts will give sweet closure, featuring Kue Talam Labu Kuning that layers the flavours of golden coconut, pumpkin, and pandan; and Tape Manis, a creamy cheesecake infused with sweet fermented cassava and Baturiti berries.

Priced at IDR 1,650,000++ per person (mocktails included) or IDR 2,500,000++ with wine pairing, this lavish dining experience will take place for two nights only.
